Dr. Michael Mitar received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University and his medical degree at the University of Toronto. He then went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency and Respirology fellowship at the University of Western Ontario. He holds privileges at St. Catharine’s General Hospital with offices in both Stoney Creek and St. Catharines. He is interested in medical education and is a frequent presenter and facilitator at many CMEs including Hamilton’s Academy Day as well as other scientific fora

Dr. Peter Lin is the Director of Primary Care Initiatives at the Canadian Heart Research Centre. He is also a contributing author to the Canadian Diabetes Guidelines 2013 and 2018 on the vascular protection section. He is also the past Associate Editor for the Elsevier Web Portal – Practice Update Primary Care. Dr. Lin has lectured extensively on diabetes, glucose monitoring, CV disease, lipids, asthma, COPD, cancers, drug interactions, herb interactions, vaccinations, dementia, osteoporosis, effects of microplastic, Artificial Intelligence (The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly). He has worked with KDIGO to help improve care for CKD patients. He has been the Co-Chair of the Immunizations Across the Lifespan Conference in Canada for the last 3 years. He was actively following and educating about the COVID-19 pandemic right from the beginning. He reaches out to the public with his role as a medical contributor to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) which is the national news agency in Canada. He has received an award from the College of Family Physicians of Canada for excellence in medical education.
